Replaces the original head/reflector assembly on your Tiablo A9 or older A8 to provide a super-tight beam with almost zero side spill.   Doubles the Lux reading of the flashlight and provides farther throw.  Creates a square beam shape that is super intense.  Causes some colorful prismatic effects around the edge of the beam, but they're not too noticeable outdoors.  The beam that these aspherical heads produce may not be for everyone, but if you're looking for that "wow" factor, these are the ticket!

Instructions:

To install the Tiablo Aspherical Head, all you need to do is to unscrew the original head from the flashlight and replace it with the new head.  The separation "break" point is at the top of the four rings machined into the flashlight's body (the fourth ring will stay with the original head).  The LED module will stay with the flashlight's body tube.

Screw the collimator head onto the body tube until it bottoms out.  Do not tighten too tightly, as this can crush the LED.  From this point, turn on the flashlight, then unscrew the back out the collimator head until you reach a desired focusing point.  When the head is towards the tightened down position, the beam will be more floody (although there really isn't any flood with a collimator/aspherical setup).  For maximum throw, back it out until the beam becomes square.  Each distance  (ie. 5 meters vs. 200 meters) will have it's best focus point.  When focused for the best throw for a particular distance, the beam will have a square shape, and you can see an outline of the LED's emitting surface (called the die).

The extra o-ring that comes with the head is just there in case you don't like the glow-in-the-dark o-ring that is installed from the factory.  The collimator head can be disassembled, and the o-ring can be swapped out.
